“I have found the one whom my soul loves.”
Song of Solomon 3:4

Monica and I met at our university’s summer meet & greet. We got to talking and immediately hit it off - after exchanging numbers, we texted every single day until we both flew to Ireland at the start of the semester. I fell for her immediately, and despite Monica making it clear that the last thing she wanted to do during medical school was date, she took a chance on me. Fast-forward the next 5 to 6 years of medical school and residency - exams, matching in separate parts of the country, and navigating our long-distance relationship - we couldn’t wait to finally get our lives started together.

When it came time to propose, everything had to be perfect (and a secret). Keep in mind, this is a girl who already had a wedding blog at the time and was just waiting on me to pop the question. After convincing her that I was taking her out dancing one night, she finally didn’t see it coming. Honestly, the nerves were building while I tried to plan the perfect proposal, but all that went away walking into the dance studio - asking Monica to marry me was the most natural thing I’ve ever done in my life.

Falling in love with Monica was inevitable, and getting to do it while being surrounded by Ireland’s charm was icing on the (wedding) cake. We can’t wait to share in that love with you so soon.
